Sobre David Mayo

Nacido en Madrid, obtuve mi diploma en publicidad , tras concluir mis estudios, decidí seguir la trayectoria profesional de mi padre. Inicié mi carrera en el ámbito del meritoriaje de cámara y, progresivamente, ascendí hasta ocupar el cargo de Director de Fotografía, desempeñando diversos roles dentro del departamento. Durante mi formación, tuve la oportunidad de participar en múltiples cortometrajes como Director de Fotografía, lo que me condujo a dirigir mi primer largometraje. La fotografía ha constituido un elemento fundamental en la historia de mi familia. Mi padre se destacó como Director de Fotografía, mi hermano continúa en esta misma carrera y mi tío abuelo se dedicó a la actuación. Ya sea ante o tras las cámaras, compartimos un objetivo común: transformar sueños en realidad.

Born in Madrid, I obtained my diploma in advertising , after finishing my studies, I decided to follow my father's career path. I began my career in the field of camera meritoriaje and, progressively, I rose to the position of Director of Photography, playing various roles within the department. During my training, I had the opportunity to participate in multiple short films as Director of Photography, which led me to direct my first feature film. Photography has been a fundamental element in my family's history. My father excelled as a cinematographer, my brother continues in the same career and my great uncle was an actor. Whether in front of or behind the camera, we share a common goal: to transform dreams into reality.

La fotografía en series y largometrajes de ficción juega un papel crucial en la narrativa visual, ya que no solo captura la esencia de las historias, sino que también establece la atmósfera y el tono de las obras. Through light, framing and colour, cinematographers create images that evoke emotions and deepen the viewer's connection to the characters. Attention to detail in the composition of each shot can turn a simple scene into a memorable visual experience, where each frame tells a story in its own right.

La fotografía tiene el poder único de transformar la ficción en realidad, capturando momentos efímeros y creando narrativas visuales que trascienden el tiempo.
